About ready to start putting my 97 LT1 engine back together it will be stock all but headers and cam kit. What will be a good cam and lifters to go back with for weekend driving. Also will i have to reprogram the computer and how hard is it to reprogram. Thanks

 

any cam other than a stock one will require a PCM tune. IMHO the best and cheapest way to tune is just get a mail order tune where you send them your PCM

Elliott Portworks (Lloyd) is where I would get a cam. He can advise on lifters, I use Comp 850's
