Don't get a high volume pump, that will suck the stock pan dry.
Here's a link to the oil pump parts/setup I determined to use with my stock pan. ...fyi, the standard Melling pumps have been known to break, so get the "Select" Melling pumps. You'll want to replace the pickup tube/screen too if you have many miles on your motor.

Comp Steel ProMags 1.6 are a very good and strong choice...at least they were my first pick. I didn't want aluminum for a daily driver and high lift cam due to possible breakage after many miles.

I agree with this.

Any stock style pump should be fine for your mild setup.

I would stay away from those and spend the extra money to get some Comp ones.

No guide plates needed with self-aligning rockers. You should spend a little more $$ and get full roller rockers, not just the roller tips.

Don't get those. Get the full roller rockers and the non-self aligning. They are on ebay often if you insist getting them on there. Check out the sponsors here first, though. Then get the GMPP guideplates and better pushrods/springs if you haven't already. If you can find them, get the RR for 7/16" studs and then get the ARP studs for added strength.

Canton makes tall valve covers, but they're expensive. You can modify the stock covers to make them fit. You also need to get the beehive locators, don't forget.

The seats/locators for the PAC1218 or 1518 or Comp 26918 springs is #4705-16.

For the stock valve covers, you have to cut out some of the webbing structure, search around I know I saw a guide how to do this. Another alternative is to buy a set of the LT4 plastic composite covers, search shbox's web site for the part numbers..if they are still available, I bought some about a year or so ago for about $75 a side from Dal..maybe find some on ebay used...you'll also need the studs, top bolts, and gromets for them..8 of each.
