Re: Cam Install

do it with motor in car. you njust take out fans, radiator, hood latch, and move the condensor. just make sure you get that timing chain right, one tooth off makes a huge difference, trust me

Re: Cam Install

im in the middle of one right now be ready the project grows. taking everything apart is easy but once you get in there you want to do everything sence you already have it apart so far i have taken the motor down to the short block thats when i notices the cam bearings were shot so im pulling the block thurs to replace them and sence ill be in the block i figured that i should just replace the man, crank, and rod bearings too so that too will be done on thurs. then you have the cam, new timing chain, elec water pump, all new gaskets, went with new headbolts, stage 8 locking headerbolts, valve springs, retainers, 10* locks, looking to get some head work done...it just keeps growing once your in there. you can make it as big or little as you want i just decided once i was into it that i wanted it to be done right, if it werent for my stupid 19 year old empty bank account id have alot more things on the list
