cam and heads intsall and now car won't idle.

I just finished a heads and cam swap and my car won't idle. It sounds like it runs ok if you can keep it running, but as soon as you let off the gas it dies. I also swapped to a vented opti during the switch. My SES light is on, but I have no way of pulling a code. The cam is a 230/236. Any help would be appreciated.

Check youtr Throttle Body linkage for adjustment. Check the screw on the TB and adjust accordingly. If you've installed a new TB you may also want to double check you Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) on the right side of the TB on the front of it.

Ditto what the above post said. I hope you got a program for that cam. I ran a cc306 on a stock program and it was running very lean above 4500 rpm.

I don't have a program yet, but am probably going to order up a pcmforless job unless anybody knows where I can find a decent tune for free. As soon as it stops raining I will mess with the throttle body to see if it makes a difference.
