Question Cam Comparison

I am trying to decide on a cam for my car and since I'm trying to still pass smog in California my choices have been narrowed down to these three:

Crane: 210/224 @ 50 510/552 w/1.6 rr 112 lsa

Comp Cam (304) 210/220 @ 50 533/544 w/1.6 rr 114 lsa

LPE 74211: 210/211 @ 50 533/560 w/1.6 rr 112 lsa

I would greatly appreciate any input on what one might think is best and yields the most.

My mods:

bbk 1 5/8 headers, 2800 vig, march u/d pullies, 3:42 gears, msd 6al, crane 1.6 r/r and spring & retainer kit, hpp

It seems that LSA is the big determiner on emissions. You would probably have the best luck with the CC304 and its 114 LSA. I have even heard of the CC305 passing emissions with its 114 LSA.

I am considering the comp cams XE 224/230 on 112. hav eread about someone who passed emissions with it in another state so it may pass here. Not quite sure though. It is an awesome cam, everyone who has it seems to agree.

I can vouch for the 224/230. It's a great cam, but on a 112* LSA you're going to have a hard time passing emissions. There's been one person I know of so far that has done it.

If you're planning on staying on stock heads, the Crane 210/224 is a good choice. There's a couple of guys I know of running pretty well on this cam. Another good one for stock head would be the CC502: 218/224, I forget the lift. A guy on here recently made I believe about 343/343 at the wheels with this cam on stock heads.

Ported heads I'd say go with the CC305 or the 224/230. Both of these would do good on stock heads, but the two above are better suited for stock heads IMO.
