Cam choice for High Altitude already searched :)
I live at high altitude (Denver so around 5200') and I need to do some work on the front of my motor front main and water pump, so I'm thinking while I'm around the area I might as well throw in a cam. I'm going to be on stock heads as I'm not going to change those as long as I have the car (I'm getting my Dad's Z06 in a year cheap
). I have long tubes, intake and such and I plan on getting a bigger throttle body. What would you guys recommend up here, I'm thinking something big on the intake side.

I don't think it makes any difference for cam choice, exhaust is forced out anyways, the higher the altitude the less pressure in your cylinders, the less pressure there, the less pressure pushing your exhaust out. You will still be limited by the surface area of your exhaust.
Altitude affects cylinder pressure... the higher you are, the less atmospheric pressure. So yeah, that effects cam selection to some degree. We're looking for an ideal dynamic compression ratio and atmospheric pressure surely plays a part.
Talk to the Comp, Crower whoever and see what they recommend, then crunch the numbers in a dynamic compression ratio calculator (can be found online) to see where you're at.
