These are two pretty contradicting questions. Which one do you want? For size, I wouldn't go bigger than a gm847 or similar sized cam. For best cam w/out tuning or injectors, I guess the LT4 Hotcam. Pretty much any cam you put in needs some tuning to see it's fullest potential.

Any power upgrade can "ef up" your engine. It depends on how badly it's been ragged or how well it was taken care of. You should really get a tune with any cam that you install. Doesn't Madz28 offer retunes at a discount?

Stock injectors are good to about 340 fwhp.

I think that hot cam is great, when I had that I drove the car and it had plenty of power etc.
If you go much bigger you probly won't want to drive it as much and will run into a lot more problems

Run the hot cam and a tune you will probly be really pleased with it

I don't think that is true at all. If you take all the precautions and your block hasn't seen too much abuse, you'll be fine with most mid-range cams out there with a tune and all of the other supporting mods. I think more power is always more fun.

Are you sure you don't have fwhp confused for rwhp? I have ran the stock injectors on my setup for this last summer and will be adding some 30lb'ers this winter. You can get by with the stockers IMO,but they will be maxed out.

My engine has 47k on it... and i won't lie, i beat the **** out of it... i just want to put a camshaft in there that will pull harder, give me more horse power in the middle, and have a half rough idle...

thisis something that i am going to run until i get le2 heads and cam...

i just don't want to damage lifters and scatter internals...
