Hey guys, I was going to go with the cc305 but someone said the springs have to be bigger and I have to get my heads matched to fit, since Im keeping stock heads, I think im going to go with the HOTCAM if thats the case...anyway, I noticed the hotcam kit doesnt come with lifters, do I need to get new ones? and a timing chain?, thanks alot for the help, I really appreciate it,

Re: Cam

If you're on a budget at least put a fresh timing chain in, even if it's stock. Best bet is to go with a double roller, but that requires an electric water pump, which is a good 10 hp to have!

There are quite a few spring setups that work just fine with the stock seats on stock LT1 heads, and that will work with a cc305, although I'd get a CC503 over that... comp 918's seem to be what everyone (including myself) are running these days for springs.
