Callaway heads

There's an ad on Craigslist indicating that someone has one set out of 24 sets of TrickFlow heads that Callaway had "made" (converted Gen 1 SBC?) for the 96 Corvettes.

Spoke to Lloyd this morning, appearantly these are a unique set of heads with a 13-15 degree intake valve design with the standard 23degree exhaust port.
Does the intake valve angle make it a SBC head?
Trying to get the casting IDs so I can do some legwork.
No... the fact that is is made for a Small Block Chevy engine makes it an SBC head. The location of the coolant flow passages determines whether its a Gen 1 SBC (everything before the LT1) or a Gen 2 SBC (LT1/LT4).
Yep I understand...got some leg work to do on these. Called Callaway just now and they are going to get with thier engineering group to see what details they can provide for me.
If I get anything significant I'll be sure to post for future reference.

so if it is true that the heads were made up for the '96 Corvette, does it stand to reason that they are set-up for reverse cooling since the '96 Corvettes were LT1 powered? or were you just referring to the intake valve angle question?
He asked what makes a head "SBC". I tried to explain.
In my first post, I highlighted the word "made" because I doubt they were custom-made heads, beyond TrickFlow converting a set of Gen 1 heads to reverse-flow cooling. But I admittedly do not know the details, and was just trying to get him pointed in the correct direction. If TrickFlow had designed castings for a reverse-flow LT1 head in 1996, it would be hard to understand why they waited 10 years to put it on sale to the general public.
