C5 takes a dive

Yeah, I know it's not precisely a technical post, but it is LT1 related

So in the month since I installed my 383, I've been totally swamped with work. Headers, custom CAI, etc are still sitting in the garage waiting, and the PCM is at best about 75% dialed in. I'm still running pretty rich. I was just happy to get the car moving again, and I'll get to finish up in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, the car feels pretty fast, but not brutal like I want.

So without really knowing what kind of power I've got yet, I was doing about 80 on the freeway yesterday (top down on the vert) when a brand new C5 pulls up beside me. He paces me, so Ifigure he wants to play, eventually. Last time (before the rebuild) I hooked up with a C5 on the freeway, it wasn't much fun at all.

So at 80, he punches it first, though I had already dropped to 4th and was waiting for him to go. Yeeha, I trashed him. I was shocked. Between 80 and 120, I put enough car lengths on him that I actually turned on my blinker and moved to his lane. And he was nowhere near tailgating me. The gap never stopped opening up till I let off at 120, and he knew he was beat bad enough that he finally dropped back and never tried to come around me again. I would say 5+ car lengths from 80 to 120.

He should just be happy I didn't have the headers and intake in yet, and that the PCM is still out of whack, otherwise, it might have been bad

nice kill man....to bad it was a C5 i love those cars lol.....but all and all its a great kill.....u have a beast of a machine....hope u work it out
