I finally got around to yanking my a/c system last weekend. It wasn't as hard as I though it would be, really a pretty straightforward job.

1. Discharge a/c system, I did it at the schraeder valve first with a
small screwdriver and a large towel wrapped around it to
protect my hands & paint from the freon. Not as much came
out as I was expecting.
2. Disconnect a/c line down at the bottom of the coil, let drain
into pan.
3. Remove belt.
4. Remove four bolts holding compressor onto the engine, three in the front and one hard one to reach in the back. Remove
bolt holding lines to back of compressor, disconect wires
going to top of compressor then remove compressor
5. Diconnect two lines at the firewall and one at the top of coil.
Disconnect wire connection on the line and remove the lines.
6. Remove radiator cover plate, I moved radiator back out of the
way a little to be able to remove the coil, a little tricky getting
it out.
7. Reinstall radiator cover plate.
8. Install 1LE pulley and belt.

That's about it. You can also remove the other coil coming out of the firewall for more weight reduction, it looked a little tricky to get out and I havn't removed mine yet, just left that there for now.

Didn't take any pics. It's really not all that difficult.

Ya it isnt difficult I removed mine and my buddy's. Just the few bolts plainly visible up front and in the back they are a little tougher to get to but not hard. After you get the bolts out, it comes right out. The harder part is getting the lines out. Takes some wiggling.

a/c delete does not need a write up. Just go in there and start taking stuff out. I suggest leaving that box looking thing that's coming out of the firewall, it would be really hard to reinstall....

Here were my two hard moments: there is a bolt that holds on the aluminum tubes to the back of the compressor that was a BITCH, my friend was on top of the engine bay pulling up on the hose to move the compressor so I had room and I had to get the breaker bar on. That was after a healthy dose of penetrating oil... any secondly, that little bracket that holes the bottle looking thing. It's hard to take out so I just left it in... it's like an underhood cup holder. good luck.

Yeah, I may just leave the firewall coil box alone. The bolt holding the lines to the compressor was a little tricky. I was going to give up on the cup holder too then I saw the little bolt holding it on from underneath when I was putting on the new pulley, it wasn't too hard to get from under there.

Hey, I havent gotten the cup holder out yet. It looks like a Torx bit is needed. What size? I want that damn thing out. lol.

The bolt holding the lines is harder with manifolds on. I have a mini impact wrench, without that I would have had real hell trying to get it off. IT just fit. Hardly any room to turn the wrench.

I love AC delete.
My accumulator bracket (cupholder) bolt got stripped out, so I bent it back and forth until it broke off.
I have an underdrive pulley on mine and it took some trips to the parts store before I found the right belt.

The cupholder uses a Torx-40. Just took it out last night.
