a/c and pwoer steering pump problem
a/c and pwoer steering pump problem
ok. so i replace my compressor with a used one. lately my steering has been odd. 3 days after putting in the new to me used by someoneelse compressor there is a squeeling noise. the noise really cannot truly be pinpointed where it is. i sprayed wd40 on all the pulleys one at a time except the powersteering one. squeeling still there. basically i have a toss up here. i am going to get the a/c recharged tomrrow (put it in sat, has not been charged yet but has 2 oz of high density PAG oil. def. not belt tensioner, i am a pretty strong guy adn that thing is tough to untension the belt on.
i am thinking in this order 1) power steering pump 2) belth 3) the new to me not to last owner compressor assembly.
i would like to hear the opinion of those that have some experience with this.
reason i potentially think power steering is because recently i have randomly been having problems with power steering, such as it "studdering" as i turned the wheel

Re: a/c and pwoer steering pump problem
checked the power steering pump fluid today. it is perfect looking. i am lost as to where to work. when i sprayed wd40 on al lthe pulleys squeeking was still there, except the power steering pump pulley because the bearing is behind and inside and can't spray it.
