a/c clutch
Mine did that two years ago and it turned out to be the ac controller in the dash wasn't triggering the ac clutch relay. In the fuse/relay block under the hood you can pull the ac clutch relay and jumper the terminals to see if the ac clutch kicks in and if the system blows cold air. I bought a guage for adding 134a and checked to see if the system had refridgerant in it before trying it. I think the relay has a diagram on it as to which terminals are to the clutch. Crimp a couple of spade connectors onto a short length of wire and jumper those two terminals. You'll hear the clutch kick in if its working and that'll point to the controller. The ac system also has an upper and lower pressure limit switches that prevent it from running if the system pressure is too high or low. The pressure guage will tell you if that's the problem.
