Welcome to the site. If I was looking for anther Z then the '97 is the way to go if you want an LT1, (IMO). It was the only year built that has the newer style interior and the older style body for 4th gens. Kinda makes it more unique and more rare than others. Not a bad price if it has been well taken car of and is a one owner car.

I'm not kidding, that car would be in my garage if I was looking for one. I tried to get my cousin to buy it, but his wife wants some other stuff.

I bought my current car over the internet, sight unseen. It arrived with an oil leak, a bad clutch and non-matched tires. the sunvisors were sagging, and the foglights were both missing.

I've fixed everything but the tires, and have about 9 in it now. I bet I could sell it for 12, but she's to sweet to sell now. She's getting a set of ZR1 rims and some Firestone Firehawks this spring.

I called the original owner. He had gotten a stone in one of the foglights and didnt want to pay the 90 bucks to replace it, so he removed them. He says he never turned them on anyway. No accidents, ever and a near perfect paintjob. I'm happy.

I really would like to find aroung a 94-97 Camaro Z28 with T-Tops and less than 100k miles. I am getting tired of my I4 and am really for a V8, the 944 does not have enough power.

Any ways that is what I am doing, I will want to change the mufflers the say I get it though, any suggestions? I really like the sound that a straight glass pack has. My goal with be around 400hp at the wheels. that not to hard to do right?
400 hp is gonna take alot more then changing a muffler LOL(which is useless except for sound btw)....All the bolt ons, heads and cam, and a blower or nos and you should be there

Maybe with outragous high miles. I'd like to see you post a link to a 4th gen f-bod with under 55K on it in perfect condition for $4000. Good luck. 8K is more realistic. 4K buys someones beat up garbage.

Im with Tahbar,

I paid around 9 for mine in sept '03. But mine had only 32k miles, M29 tranny, only mobil 1, all the goodies listed below, was never driven in rain, no evidence of accidents or car washes, had all the original parts, and had 17" chrome SLP SS rims with new Comp TA's (sold those suckers so the car doesnt look that attractive to the thief) and best of all, no t-tops to rattle & leak.

All I did was toss out the amps and replace the radio & speakers, and buy a jack & spare (the damn amps were there).

I sold a mint mint RX7 convertible last may for almost double retail book. when a guy brought out the book I wished him luck finding a car as clean as mine for book.

When I saw my Z28, I had to throw away the book too. It was cleaner than most 2002s, and had less mileage than most 2001s. Plus it was an adult owned unabused manual. Go find a few more of those. Good luck!

I don't think that green z is that good of a deal. I just bought my 94z28 convertible with 9000 miles for 9500. I also just sold my 94z which had 34,000 miles for 9000. That car also had slp hood, wheels, spoiler. It also had alot of perf mods. I would pay more than 6500 for that green one.
just my opinion though

Ok, post a link to a car as nice as the one I found for 6,500 then. Other people say they can find it for 4,000. Let's see the links, guys.

It has to have about 55K, manual trans, leather, t-top and be in mint original virgin condition.

Like I said before, "good luck".

one more thing... If you find one, it cannot be purple(yuck).

I paid 1000 more for a car which is a virgin convertble with 46,000 less miles. It still has the original tires. I am not saying that the car isnt clean. It looks very clean from the pic, but I go to bars all the time and think to myself "she looks hot" and when i get a closer look I wanna smack myself. I definately think it is worth more than 4000 though.

the price of these car may be going up slightly but just wait a year from now when chevy comes out with the new SS, all you jokers will be jumping for that and selling your camaros for $100 over trade-in.
