Buying a Z28

I have made up my mind and I want a 96 camaro z28. I have a 1984 Porsche 944 right now with 33k miles on it so I am selling that and then I am going to try and find a Camaro.

I really would like to find aroung a 94-97 Camaro Z28 with T-Tops and less than 100k miles. I am getting tired of my I4 and am really for a V8, the 944 does not have enough power.

Any ways that is what I am doing, I will want to change the mufflers the say I get it though, any suggestions? I really like the sound that a straight glass pack has. My goal with be around 400hp at the wheels. that not to hard to do right?

Depends on how you want that 400. All motor, it'll take a nice H/C combo with boltons or you could just give it some spray/bolt-ons. As far as the muffler, it all depends on what you want. There's sound clips on here you can check out.

I know I'll probally get flamed but I don't belive in spray. I prefer a charger, something that is constant power not temp.

flamed on an f-body site for not spraying? ...i doubt it, but if you want ur 400 hp, I would go with good head/cam combo, and all of your bolt ons of course....

If I had to buy one today, this would be it. It looks awsome, I'd take it sight unseen.

that is a nice car with low miles, but i bet you could find one cheaper. i bought mine a year ago, same options with about 1000 more miles for a grand less. ive seen em for even cheaper than that. whatever you decide, just get something with everything you want. im sure youll love it, i cant get enough of mine. good luck!

I bet if you offered 7,800 cash it would sell. And that, *IS* a good deal. Keep in mind prices on these cars are climbing, due to them being discontinued.

I paid 7,500 for my 94 6-speed ragtop with 53K on it a year ago. Try finding a nice low mile one now for less than 12... good luck!

I paid a little more than I should have for mine but it was exactly what I wanted(as far as color and options), taken care of, and 10 miles away

I used to have *exactly* the same car you do. It was a black 95Z-28 6-speed with graphite leather and all the options. I bought it brand new. Sweet ride.
