if i sit at a light to long my car smells like burning oil inside car does not over heat stays at about 160 180 just fills cab with burning oil smell put it in first and take off it goes away 1997 z28

Have you tried popping the hood? If you're burning oil smoke should be visible. Use a flashlight around dusk to help find the smoke. Obviously your efforts should be focused on the exhaust components (manifolds, y-pipe, etc.). If you come up empty handed you'll have to get beneath the car to check the rest of the exhaust.

I would check around your dip stick were it goes into the pan and its support bracket I had a similar issue . It would drip from the broken support bracket (2small holes) and from being loose in the pan dripping onto the exhaust
