Broken header bolt

Ok, i was just snugging up my header bolts and the first one on the passenger side right behind the alternator snapped.

Motor is going to have to come out right?

I'm not pissed yet, but i probably will be superbly pissed in about an hour or so.

I broke one off in the drivers side head when I was taking the bolts out to put my headers on. Ended up taking it to a shop and paying $150 for them to take it out. Engine stayed in, but since it's on the passenger side, heads might have to come off. Not sure though. Call around and ask.

maybe it can be removed by loos9ing the motor mount and jacking it up to the side? either way this is gonna suck.

I guess it wouldn't be the end of the world to take the motor out and install a cam while it's out. But then you might as well do the heads and a new clutch too

damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

%$*()%* #()$%*()_$ %*#(_$#@!~!!!!!!!!!!!!!

150 bucks i could handle though, the key is finding someone to do it for that price.

SHould i just go ahead and pull the motor and avoid removing the radiator and all that BS for the cam install?

It may not have broken flush with the head, unless you have checked. Happened to me before where the bolt is still sticking out of the head, you won't know until you pull the header. I just had to pull my header off and pull the bolt out.

good luck
