Breaking in a new clutch??

I did a search on this topic, and wasn't really satisfied with the results. When you install a new clutch (McLeod Dual Performance), how long (if any) of a break-in period should you have? Also, is there any procedure (shifting at 3000 for X amount of miles, etc.)?

Most clutch manufacturers recomend about 500 miles of break in, just to make sure everything is properly placed and so the disk doesnt get glazed and end up with a shortened life span.
