Brake failure
I was driving down a road at around 50 to 55, and this big ford truck pulls right out in front of me so scared for my life i mash the brake with both feet and i feel this pop. I drove the car about 100 yards and pulled it over after hearing this metal against metal grinding noise from the left rear wheel. I took of the wheel the the brake is siezed and the bottom part of the caliper swing out towards the rear of the car (the grinding noise was it hiting the metal on the inside of my wheel). I checked the other brakes and they were find but i can't for the life of me figure out where this brake went loose seeing that i have no brake knowledge myself. Can't drive the car at all with that brake being like it is so right now its parked about 1 mile from my house outside one of my friends houses. If anyone can venture forth and tell me what they think happened and what i could do to fix it it would be greatly appretiated. There doesn't seem to be any damage, it just swings out and i can't for the life of me figure out why

The caliper is held on with two bolts. If one of them fell out, it would swing as you describe. So a bolt is missing... Those are hardened steel bolts, and the rears are size M12-1.75-35, class 12 I'm pretty sure.
