McLeod Street Twin

I just ordered one last week (smoked my clutch last thursday at the track), and have a couple of questions:

Does is come with the new high flow master cylinder? If not, where can I get one?

Does it come with a throwout bearing, and if not, where and which one should I get?

How have people found the most effective way to drive/launch on this clutch because I heard that it's an on/off clutch I.E. no slippage at all?

Thanks guys!

Wow... Good ?'s.. i can answer them all.. thankfully.. well first one.. yes it comes w/ the new upgraded slave.. Just the upper half.. you have to use your factory bottom half and braided hose.. Be careful when you open up the box.. their is a lil' o ring that you NEED... Dropped mine and spent 1/2 hour looking for it.. The clutch comes w/ a new throwout bearing as well.. And as far as driving it.. It by no means is a on/off clutch.. I think its the smoothest Hi Performance clutches ihave ever driven.. I have one.. and i absoulutely love it.. The pedal pressure is significantly harder than a stocker is so get ready for a leg workout... But not too bad at all.. Take up is smooth as a baby's butt but IT WILL break everything behind it.. i've been through 3 driveshaft's and a t56 so far.. don't dump this clutch on slick's.. let it out slowly.. it'll be nice to your driveline.. Good luck.. you made the right choice..

Whew, thanks for the quick reply! I was totally under the impression that I needed to purchase separately the throwout bearing.

As for the "upgraded" slave cylinder, this is the one that's "high flow" to let the clutch engage/disengage faster right?

I don't plan to run slicks yet. I have a 10 bolt out back, and stock drive shaft too. Once I go carbon fiber driveshaft and 12 bolt, I'll probably to a tranny rebuild/upgrade before I really try to cut some low sixty's.

Thanks again!

I don't believe that they sell the kit without the flywheel. I've heard that it would chew right through the stocker.

Quick Time Performance, sorry but I don't know the web address right off hand. It was a great deal, but I'm not gonna mention prices because I don't believe they're a sponsor of the website.

Unless they switched back, I thought they ditched the slave cylinder mod for their master cylinder. Make sure, because the slave mod is a REAL pain, and seems to eventually leak regardless.

It should come with a flywheel, that is thinner than stock, because of the increased thickness of two discs and a floater.

You should be able to drive it normally, clutch-wise. It will slip. But only with the clutch partially in--it won't slip when fully engaged, which is what we want.

Enjoy it, it's an awesome clutch!
