Borla & AS&M Rocks!

Well I spend all day under the car and got the AS&M headers, Borla cat back, and Random tech cat installed. The install went smoothly and here are my thoughts on these products.

AS&M headers: These headers appear to be high quality. All welds are perfect and they fit the car like a glove. I did not have to lift the engine or even dimple them to clear. The only problem was the back header bolt on #2 cylinder. The tight bend in the pipe made it so the bolt would not go in. I had to dent the pipe and drill the hole out. No real problem, but it's a shame to have to beat on a new header with a hammer.

Borla cat back: I bought this primarily because I love the tips and like being able to adjust how loud it is. Many people complain about having rattle problems. I don't have any but it took quite a bit of time to get it adjusted so it wouldn't rattle. I installed the smallest plate and although it's abit louder than I wanted. It sounds awsome!

Over all I couldn't be happier. My SOTP dyno says I picked up about 30-35HP at least. It'll pull right up to 6k in 4th and runs like a raped ape. I love it.

Congrats on the install. I also noticed major pull on my 4th gear. It feels great.

I have the same combo except dual cats and like it very much. You installed it a lot quicker than I could

Guess I just got lucky. I actually spent half the day on just the Passenger side header. But once that was done it went smoothly. A friend came over around 4pm to help otherwise I'd have been up late. Sorta need the car for work.

I still can't get over the sound, it sounds awsome!
