bolts and gaskets..MACs

mr gaskets good for my MACs? Also spectre 1" bolts? both sound cheap but were at pep boys..
can i trust these? or just wait and order APR bolts and either OEM or fel pro or percys gaskets?

I would just wait and get good bolts(either stage 8, or arp bolts). Just get the 1" bolts. For the gaskets i would go with either Percy's or the Felpro's. I went with percy's and i'm going to be using them for my header install in 2 weeks. But a lot of people like the Felpro's also. So its up to you.

I used stage 8 bolts and went with the GM metal gaskets when I installed mine. 3 years with the metal gaskets and no leaks what so ever. They seem to be pretty popular with most of the guys I know with Mac headers. When I got my cam done I went and bought another set of the GM's because both me and my mechanic friend agreed that they worked the best besides the Ultra Coppers. And they aren't that expensive either.

I believe the stage 8's are 3/8 x16 1" long. As for the gaskets if you are going to put the GM metal ones on you can get them at any dealership they are just stock replacements but they seal really well.

Have fun with the install man. Watch out for the rear most passenger side header bolt. Soak it really good with PB Blaster and let it sit for a little.
