Methinks its oil. Maybe from cylinder heads or valves. My celica does the same thing.

Blue smoke is oil. The two normal sources of it getting into the combustion chamber are rings or valve seals.

i second that, try the valve seals first there cheap but you will need to pressurize the cylinder through the sparkplug to keep your valves up.

Not true. If you do the cylinders in proper order, each piston at TDC will keep the valve from falling.

Shoebox has a procedure on his site.

I have NEVER had luck with the TDC method. I guess it may depend on what spring compressor you use. I've always used the cheap screw type compressors and every time I would get the spring compressed it would fall into the eyebrow of the piston to where I couldn't get the locks off. This was all solved by placing the piston close to BDC, stuffing it with nylon rope and cranking the piston up to compress the rope.

If you're getting blue smoke "only" at a cold start-up, then it is typically the valve seals. It you get blue smoke while driving, accelerating and decelerating you're probably looking at the rings.
