blowing my fan fuse
no you got it all wrong. the recall is for a GM dealership to replace the parts that the recall covers. thats it. they want you to keep the AIR system. however, you can remove it all, plug the holes, and get a custom tune to delete the codes it will set by not having it there.
you can call any GM dealership and they can tell you over the phone if youve ever had that recall performed. its only good one time, they'll replace the air pump and some other pieces for free to you. but only once. all you need is your vin # when you call. so have your registration ready.

well i replaced the fuse and went for a good drive.. i figured i would wait for the fuse to blow, then i would turn off the car and chill for a bit while i replaced the fuse and unplugged the AIR and then I would go drive again to see if it would blow again...
But it never blew. I got the car nice and hot and got the hi power fans going and the fuse never blew and i never got a check engine light.. so im basically just driving around with fuses in my car for now until i blow it and then i can try unplugging the air..
I checked the o2s as well and all is well with them so they arent it either.
