blower/CR questions...
have a couple questions..
I know that boost and lt1's dont mix..but say i was to buy a set of forged pistons to lower my CR to say..9:1 or 9:5 or whatever... , would the lt1 hold up with say....8#'s of boost? or are lt1's not good with boost for other reasons?
and what other ways are there to lower my compression ratio besides pistons? im looking into a supercharger setup but am curious to something like this..maybe ceramic coating the pistons too?

LT1 pistons are very weak under boost conditions. It will not last long with the stock pistons, and anything over 6 psi can equal to rebuild in the near future.
If built right , LT1s can handle a ton of boost. My friend did ceramic coat his heads, intake and pistons on his blown setup. I hear it does help reducr the heat.
You can try and reduce the compression by playing witht he gead gaskets and heads, but I am not sure how much you can reduce the CR. There was a post a month or two back in the Forced induction forum. Do a search there.
