Bleeding the heater core lines..

Ok I tried to do that heater core flush...couldnt get one of the hoses off...well anyways, the one hose i put back on was leaking coolant, so i had to go back and put it on the right way. Well how exactly do I bleed the lines? I know theres those brass bleeder valves. Do I open them, turn on the heater and then close them or what?

Thanks

In your case, I would just wait until the engine is at operating temp and crack the bleeders open until you see nothing but a steady stream of coolant with no bubbles. A more detailed procedure for the system flush and fill is on my Tech Page.

You will actually see coolant coming out of the bleeder screw, since you are opening the system with it.
