Angry Bleeding Cooling System

What is the proper way to bleed your cooling system?

2 days ago i was driving and my coolant sensor came on. I got to work and
water was pouring out. I left right away back home because i figured i better fix it at home. This was at 6am and its still dark. I got about 2miles away and the car began to overheat so i got it towed.

I checked it out in 2hrs to find that the coolant sensor had popped out. I drained all coolant, popped the Sensor back into place, filled it up and bleeded the lines but only the screw next to the Stat would leak out. The bleed screw near the radiator never leaked anything. Now the low coolant light comes on but the reservoir and radiator are fine.

Am i supposed to wait several minutes for water to leak out the screw near the radiator? The low coolant light comes on only after the first white mark.

I had this same problem before and I performed a flush and topped it off and the light never came on and it was fine.

WHAT IS GOING ON????

Re: Bleeding Cooling System

i havent tried bleeding yet but my coolant light is tripping. This light never came on Yesterday. I went to work, home, back to work and on my way back home (all seperate trips) the light came on and stayed on. I came to school (currently still here on a friday night) and the light was on. Maybe its going through one of the cycles mentioned on the SHOEBOX webpage....
well see what happens
