Re: Battery Has Blue Foam

Go get a battery brush and a can of battery cleaner. Spray the cleaner on let sit for a minute or two then brush it off. Repeat if needed. You can get another spray coating and coat the terminal to prevent this from happening again. Make sure the terminals are tight and you still have a good body ground. Hope this helps

Re: Battery Has Blue Foam

The blue foam is copper sulfate, formed when the sulfuric acid in the battery vents, and the sulfur combines with the copper in the wires. Not good to leave it that way. You can remove it with a solution of baking soda mixed into a thin paste, with water. Excessive "blue" may be indicating excessive venting of the battery, due to overcharging, or a leak in the case, or around one of the terminals.

Re: Battery Has Blue Foam

my dad always told me to put a thin layer of grease on the battery posts to prevent this. I've done it and its always worked well for me.
