Bitter Sweet
Bitter Sweet
Well i just got done changing my timing chain, opti, and converting to an electric waterpump. Everything running right. A bit of rough idle but i can fix that. Well now for the bad. The gasket in between the timing chain cover and oil pan is leaking. I kinda had a feeling it would, being thats how my luck is. Is it possible to raise the motor and just change the whole gasket, without removing the timing cover? I know this is far fetched what if i clean it up and just squirt some sealant in there and let it set. Its leaking from where the oilpan meets the gasket. Oh well any ideas?
Thanks
Omar

I hate when that happens.
You should have thrown a cam in there while you were at it.
You might as well try to clean it up and put some silicon on the leak(if it's not to big). Would hate for you to have to take everything apart again.

So all i gotta do is drop the oil pan and replace the whole gasket? I guess while im at it i can change out my motor mounts too. I just do not feel like messing with it right now. Im going to clean it up tomm, and stick some sealant in it. Then just work on my suspension and get back to it later. It doesnt leak at idle but once it hits around 3k it squirts. Im still pretty happy, its my first attempt and probably wont be my last.
