Cool WhooooHoooooo!!!

Welp, the Camaro is no longer mine, kinda sad about it actually. Gave it one last wash yesterday and said farewell tonight. I owned that car since 95 and it's been a good but sometimes bumpy ride. I'll always have a bitter sweet place in the ole heart reserved for it, since it was a gift for graduation and it looked amazing. OK, enough already before I get too bummed out about the good news.

YIPEEE!!!!!
Tonight I signed the deal on a brand spanking new 2003. I'll leave everyone guessing for a minute as to the model, and the only hint comes in the form of a few recent posts (in the lounge) about what kind of car I was looking at. OK, heck, here's a good hint....260HP, 260ft/lb torque, rear drive. I'll try to get pix when the excitement wears off!! But, it's definitely purty too, IMO anyway...

Stay tuned!

Oh yeah, I'll finally get to give Sal's leather products a whirl too, damnit, after all this time. I think they are one of the few that I've yet to try hehehe! And, can't wait to give this virgin baby it's first Zainoing! Gonna be a good weekend here!!!

Mike

Sounds like an '03 Mustang GT, with the leather package.

....come out and say it Mike....there is no shame in that.

Just tell me it's a 5-speed.

Talking

LOL! I knew someone would be thinking Mustang, but no way in the world would I spend my money on a Mustang.

OK, the color is "Garnet Fire" which is, of course, a dark redish color. It's also an automatic, due to the fact that I would have had to wait a few months to get the 6 speed manual, which isn't currently available. No worries though, it's plenty quick in auto form, with sport shift. Now I now someone knows what it is!

I'm picking it up at noon today! WhooHoo!

You are correct sir! I knew it wasn't that hard to figure out if you are keeping current with this class of car. I really wanted a new black WS6 T/A for the longest time until I realized I may need something a little more roomy and "professional" in appearance. I think it's a great car considering a BMW, Lexus, or MB would sticker at several thousand more, have fewer features and less power in the same class. I don't think I got the best deal, but considering how these cars are in hot demand, I'm not surprised. Heh, at least I can pick on Porsche Boxsters a few Stangs and any of the above mentioned cars! Not too much of a compromise from the T/A, I guess. Plus it's well built...

I'm happy!

Congratulations Mike,
I know you will enjoy the new Infiniti. I love my Z28 convertible but would not ever tolerate it use as a daily driver.. the Lexus LS400 and Escort are for those daily chores. You should have kept the 92 and started a collection or have a "fun" weekend terror car.
Good luck with the new car but I'm sure you will miss the power, torque and rough ride of our beloved f-bodies!!

Cool

Thanks everyone for the comments, really appreciate it! I'm really really enjoying this car. Plenty of power, fresh styling, and more luxury than I could ask for. The only thing I really miss is having a car that was already paid for. Oh well, I think I've earned this thing, so the payments don't sting as much.

blkZConv,
Nah, I won't miss my F-bod too much. It was a lowly 3.1L V6 with a measly 140 HP, maybe 145 with the K&N and Flowmaster. The G35 tears my old car to pieces in every category. The only real thing I miss about the Camaro is the styling and the shine. I just loved the look of that car. No matter though, the G is satisfying in every way so far!

Cool

Holy ****! That's what I kept saying after my very first coats of Zaino on the new G35. Being new paint with virtually no flaws, I didn't really think it would look too much better, but geez it looks so wet and deep! I'm using ZFX/Z5 only for now just to try some more experimenting with the Z products on my finish. Starting over from scratch with Z sort of rekindles the flame and the appreciation for the products. Damn it's looking good! I guess this is basically how I felt when I first used the proucts on the old Camaro years ago as well. Like other things, the first time with Z is always unbelievable!!

Thanks Zaino!
