Biggest cam for daily driver??????????
Re: Biggest cam for daily driver??????????
I'd personally keep the duration at 230deg @ .050 or less with aggressive lobes and relatively high lift and a killer set of heads. Great power and great driveability.
Re: Biggest cam for daily driver??????????
I like my 306, plenty tame for me
I'm stepping up to something in the low 240s this summer when I'm going forged 383. You seem like you think the 306 is too small? Realize you can only rev so much, unless you want something that will peak at 7k? That's pretty hard on parts aka you WILL break something. I'd get my heads ported if I were you, the 306 is enough cam to support 400+ rwhp with ported stock heads.

Re: Biggest cam for daily driver??????????
that doesn't make any sense dude the 306 is plenty plenty streetable, do you have a tune? I'm on stock tune and I think it's great. You'll lose power going to a 503 or 305.
Re: Biggest cam for daily driver??????????
Do you already have the CC306 installed or what?
The XE503 and the CC305 are both worthy daily driver cams, but many daily drive with a CC306 as mentioned. It all depends on the person driving, its just like what you get on a Whooper, have it your way. The GM 846 is a nice cam from what I hear, as well as the Hotcam, which comes in a very cost effective $479 kit [Rockers, cam, springs, etc]
I think I'm going to try the larger route whenever I get around to doing a cam. Let me know if you sell the CC306 if its brand spanking new.
Wckd94Z, where are you from man?

Re: Biggest cam for daily driver??????????
my94blackZ - Do you have bolt ons or just the cam and heads? I assume since you listed the heads in your sig that they are ported and polished? I just wondered cause if you have full bolt on's and P&P Heads you should be seeing nearly 400rwhp with that cam. I am pretty sure Madwolf was in the 350's rwhp with stock heads and bolt on's with his XE 233/239.
