I'd always read on another camaro forum which I won't name as not to cause any fighting, that if you get a bigger throttle body and do not get a tune that the increased line pressure will harm the transmission, I think they said this for the automatic only. But in my searches here, to questions about if people need tunes for it, the answer is always no.

So, any truth to it?

 

It is for auto's only. But it decreases the line pressure. It makes the trans shift supper smooth, which is not good for the trans; atleast my 58mm did.
