Big Time troubles here, please help
Ok, I got my car put together today after my HOTCAM install and it started right up. Problem is, she is running like CRAP!!! It is overheating and is stumbling like a 8 month old trying to walk. It has no power over 2500 RPM, just stumbles. I know I need a CPU tune, and I hear a knocking sound so I need my rockers adjusted. Do you think my timing is jacked up??? why else would I be overheating?? I was pretty sure my gears were set at 12,6 but maybe they slipped out of wack. How bad does it need to be off in order to jack up timing?? I am very upset, after 35 hours of work now It still isn't working properly. Please help
You probably just need to bleed the air out of the cooling system.
When you do a cam install, you need to be absolutely sure you have the dots where they are supposed to be before buttoning it back up. No one knows but you if they are correct. If you lined them up and bolted it back together, it should be right. Once the cam gear is bolted on, there is no way the chain is going to slip or change.

well i go and try to bleed it but there is ALOT of pressure and it sprays fluid out. funny thing is that there is only maybe 10 qts in there. Man, I think my timing is jacked up. What is the easiest way to get back to the inside there. Just take off water pump, opti, pulley, and cam hub, right? I shouldn't have to take the AC back out, right?
