Big Problem!!!!!!! NEED HELP!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!

Ok we drove the car into the street cuz the driveway is on a slant. Ready to change the torque arm mount to the energy suspension piece. Had the car on ramps/jack stands. We FINALLY got the old piece off, just to find out that we would have to drop the tranny to get the new piece on. Not happening when laying on your back. So we tried to get the old piece on and say screw it....Now we can't get the old piece on. It's friggin impossible. I drove the car back into the driveway and now it's sitting there with the torque arm loose and insecure. I don't want to screw up my car. I had no idea that changing the torque arm mount would be this hard. Can anyone please give me any suggestions or ideas as to what we should do to at least get the old piece back on?

If you have access to a lift with all for tires loaded, it should be very easy to do. If you just have the rear up, i can see how it might be hard to do.Try and Loosen the two large bolts on the tourqe arm to give it a little play. If you have ramps - drive the front tires on the ramps and support the rear axle with jack stands. It should'nt be as hard as you are describing. Good luck.

Might try loosening up the TA in the rear, and if worse comes to worst jack up the tranny and take out the crossmember and then you can lower the tranny a bit to get the room you need.

Also if you have the rear up in the air with the torque arm loose you can take a jack and swing the rear end one way or the other by jacking it up. For instance if you need the torque arm to go up jack up on the front of the rearend housing. If it needs to swing down jack up the back of the rearend housing. I have had to do this numerous times to get the stock torque arm back on.
