Big draw on electrical with manual fan switch
Big draw on electrical with manual fan switch
Is it normal (when switched straight to high speed) for the volts to drop just above the red warning line? I'm just trying to make sure that I am not having an alternator problem here. It's on my friend's Z. From memory it doesn't seem that mine does it this bad. But we were sitting at a stop light at night with head lights on and he flipped them both on at the same time and all lights dimmed and the volts dropped to just above the red warning line and then returned to normal.
Also, This system is wired with two separate switches.

I have mine ona 3 way toggle.. I ahve no prblems with mine on high with lights radio ect on.. the volts drop a tiny but but the alt kicks in and regulates the voltage back up.. you might be starting on a dieing bat or weak alt
My volts drop a little when i turn my fans on but the return to near the position it was at before i filcked the switch. If they drop and stay low i might start looking for a problem or something to come up
Nope hes totally stock. The volts return to normal after a second or so. Just doesn't seem like they should drop so much when first turned on... I think he'll be fine, I guess we'll see if/when the alternator goes....
