Better throttle cable for the LT1? Lokar?
Does anyone use a Lokar throttle cable with their LT1? did you have to use their bracket? I'd like to keep cruise.
Searching shows I can use TC1000TP throttle cable for TPI cars which is available in 24", 36" and 48" lengths. It also shows that I could use the TCB-40LT4 throttle cable bracket-but I think this eliminates cruise.
My problem (I just destroyed my 3rd throttle cable) is the metal ball on my throttle cable pulls through the plastic cup where it sits on the pedal. The plastic cup doesn't crack it just elastically deforms and allows the ball to be spit out. My solution of filling the cup with 2500 psi epoxy lasted for one year and broke last weekend. I'll try and get pics up. I readily admit I'm part of the problem, but this design is weak. My other throught is to create an aluminum or steel cup at the pedal to prevent the ball from being pulled through.
Input?

Split a small washer(very narrow split-dremmel tool),put over cable ahead of ball, and close split with a pair of Chanellock's.Reinstall with washer behind cup.
