Best way to bleed the brake system???
Best way to bleed the brake system???
I'm going to try and bleed my brakes to see if it'll help in my braking issues. Lately, specially after the cam install I would come into a stop and try relentlessly to get the car to stop but would not. It will roll until I press the brake pedal with both my feet and still it wouldnt just completely stop!!!
If I needed to panic stop I'm afraid to say there is no way that I can get this car to do it!!!
So, I'm just wondering if there's any special way of bleeding our braking systems as I could not find any write ups on this subject. I thought about buying a "one man bleeder kit" but wasnt sure how good and effective those are.

Ohh, and if it started after the cam install...isn't it more likely vacuum related than air in the brake lines? I think your only option at that point is an additional vacuum pump? Might be worth seeing what other folks with your same cam are finding...

I bought them about 6-9 months ago and I think they were $10/pair. I don't recall the size, but they had a book there with them listed by application. I saved the package at home if you can't find it easily.
I then took some clear tubing (Home Depot) and a Gatorade bottle with an under-sized hole drilled in the cap, and shoved the tube in it. All you have to do is slip the tube on the bleeder, open it slightly with a wrench, press the brakes a few times and move to the next corner. I didn't even jack the car up last time.
