Some have gotten a tune on a near stock car and have seen results. I would wait until you have all the bolt ons you plan on getting then spring for the tune. Mail your PCM to a tuner or take it to a dyno tuning shop.

I think what Brian meant was it's "Hotchkis" as opposed to "Hotchix"

With a 160 degree stat and a tune my car "felt" like it gained a buttload, but at the track it was a tenth and I think 2 mph if I remember right.

But the factory tune is far from optimal for performance.

I've seen almost 20 rwhp gains from mild bolt-on cars with a tune.

i guessing NED is new england drag and no. i just moved out to boston (DOT) 3 months ago from buffalo, ny. so i don't know any camaro clubs around NE or any tracks. but i would like to know cause i do need a lot of help on the camaro and see what's good or not. so if your from the boston or NE area and got info, i would like to know where everything is. speed shops would be good to.

A4, Comp 305, no tune, springs, exhaust, and a CAI went 13.2 on yok 255/17. Hopefully a tune will shave something.

Check out Ions website for example, there are several things that can be done to the PCM that go beyond just adding some extra power: http://www.madz28.com/information.php
After having my PCM tuned, not only did it add some noticable power to the car, but it also made a big difference in how the car performed overall. Cooler running temperatures and firmer tranny shifts were two of the other more noticable aspects of the tune.
