Question Best Oil Pump to use..

What pump should I get? I have a 383, with the canton pan and pick up. Is the 10552 Melling pump and shaft a good one or the m155hv?

The 10552 would be the better of those two. A 10554 with GM white spring is what I would use, unless you just got to have the extra volume because of your build specifics. The 10552 does have the advantage of a bolt-on pickup, though.

Bolt on pickup is a good idea unless you have easy access to a welder. I got tired of dealing with pickups falling off so it's standard practice to weld them on now.

Will a GM Pump (NAL-93442037) work with the canton pick up tube? I know it will press fit in, I want to bolt the pick up on thought. So just need to know if I can bolt the pick up on the gm pump like the melling 10552?
