Let's play with numbers.....

430rwHP through an A4 means 520 flywheel HP = 36.4 #/HR

430rwHP through an M6 means 495 flywheel HP = 34.7 #/HR

430rwHP through a TH400 with loose, non-locking converter = 550 flywheel HP = 38.5 #/HR

Stock injectors are programmed at 24.9 #/HR. Don't see any way stockers can support 430rwHP, at least not at 43.5psi. And they won't be working too well if you bump the pressure up to the almost 90psi required to get them to flow what is needed.

Let's play with some more numbers....

520 flywheel HP at 0.476 BSFC = 250 #/HR fuel. At 6#/GAL, that's almost 42 gallons/HR or about 156 liters/HR. Allow 25% for the return loop on the fuel system, and you need a pump that can supply 210LPH of fuel. Stock pump won't do that.

A lot of ASSumptions in the above, but you should get the idea that you need larger injectors and a larger fuel pump. The exact size depends on information you haven't supplied.

he is referring to the fact that a le3 is going to be revving mighty high for a stock short block

as far as a pump system goes i think your best bet is the racetronix pump kit with hardwired pump harness, you can get it from our site sponsor thunder racing but here is a link to racetronix site

and the link to thunder racing

as for injectors you have the best guy we have working with you, just give injuneer any information he asks for and make sure to say thank you , lol

i have found all the information here very useful in calculating my own fuel system needs. im not too sure how much power my car should be making and that is the only thing that I have to figure out before buying the right injectors.

my specs are in my sig if anybody knows a ballpark for the hp.

i was thinking either 30 or 32 lb injectors by Venom and the racetronix fuel pump.

should i get an adjustable fuel regulator? or will the stock one do? im sure that the stock fuel rail is fine.

as is i am running the car as a daily driver with the stock fuel system.

oh and im sure this required another ecu reprogram right?

Stock fuel pressure regulator is fine. It only needs to be upgraded (IMO) when you need to size up the fuel lines/rails, which isn't until you're eclipsing some serious HP. I'm running the stocker on my 383.

For injectors, I'd go with a 36# Ford or Lucas/Delphi. Never heard of the Venom injectors, but the aforementioned two are very good.

Anytime you change the flow rate of the injectors, programming is absolutely necessary.

If you can run that engine with stock 24 #/HR injectors, it's not making much in the way of HP.

Well i looked for 36# injectors on jegs and came across these 2 options and i would preferr to go with accel for the better price unless anybody had anything bad to say about them like the accel opti's. I have never heard of venom before but they dont seem bad or anything plus they say they make nice electrical connectors.

sorry if jegs is not a sponsored site. if there is an option on a sponsored site please feel free to share a link.

When it comes to electrical components, I lean more towards track record and reliability than price. Lucas/Delphi injectors are proven, and so are Ford SVOs, which is why I recommended them. Do a search and see what you can come up on the Accel injectors.

"Make nice electrical connectors?" What relevance does that have?

Hey man im pushing about four fifteen and still have my stock injectors and pump. After about four twenty horses to the flywheel the stock pump and injectors cant keep up under high demand. Ive been asked why i give this website out before but ill do it again anyway. You wont find a better deal than hawks third gen parts online. You can get a walbro pump that is already built for direct replacement of your old one with no modifications for one hundred and fifty dollars and a complete set for two twenty you wont find a better deal for a better built pump. Also if you look on line on ebay you can find alot of 30# to 42# injectors with warranties for under two hundred dollars. Good luck just make sure that you know your power before buying the injectors.
