would they fit any better with an M6? Would the bell housing be any smaller on them? I haven't been around these engines very much at all.

there are many factors that go into play too. like motor mounts, tranny mounts. mine are probably beyond worn at 148xxx.

Kooks are great headers, but they aren't cheap.

I got a big reaction out of my headers. Best part about them is the sound, I went with pacesetters, then got them coated by HPC and They've been awesome until just barely. If your not on a budget, get some Jet Hots or one of the more expensive ones. I also had the flowmaster on my car, then went to the SLP loudmouth and got noticable power due to how bad the flowmasters flow on F-bodies.

I have a friend that is getting rid of his loudmouth, but it is set up for an LS1. How big of a difference would there be in the exhaust to make it fit an LT1?

The exhaust ports are completely different, spacing, cross section.

Isn't the loudmouth just a catback? I don't believe it has exhaust ports.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying.

First mods to do, i would do headers first, then go with some free mods (TB bypass etc. etc.) weight reduction is another easy way to go faster.

My bad, I was thinking headders for some reason

The TB bypass involves bypassing the coolent that is run to the TB. It's purpose is to keep it from icing over in cold enviroments. But for most of us all it does is heat up the incomming air unncesarilly. Here is a link to shoebox's site. BTW it might be a good idea to browse his site and do some learning.

That will add a couple HPs for basically nothing.

Also what kind of budget do you have and what are you wanting out of the car
