Best electric water pump?

Since I'm knocking on 12 sec, I went and bought a March underdrive pulley set, a slp 160 degree thermostat. I'm going to be pulling it apart and also changing my anti freeze so I feel like I should get a electric water pump. They are supposed to be good for 2/10 sec. What brand, model, best place to get it and any kind of special electrical fuse line etc will I need.

I HIGHLY dout your going to see .2 off your et from 10hp. Main brand that I hear about is meziere. See what others say. I think summit sells it, aswell as jegs. Not sure on the "best" place to get it though.

I have a CSR... think they use to go under another name (CSI?), have about 20k miles on it and zero problems so far.

Running a Meziere here no issues, get the Painless waterpump wiring harness while you are at it...

Your money would be better spent towards a nice stall (3k-3400)! You (assuming you could hook) would more than likely see high 12's with one and it will compliment your gears well.

Been running a Mez 118HD on my DD for a couple of years now no drama. My main reason for the electric pump was the ability to use a regular SBC double roller timing chain. I wouldn't install the pump just for the HP increase.

There's a couple of web sites where LT1 owners dyno'd their cars between mods and an electric water pump increased the power about 6-9 rwhp, IMO might be worth a .1 on a 3500 pound car. The real reason to use one is you can use regular SBC timing sets, it cools the car better in traffic, or at the track. HOwever, its an expensive way to gain about 10 hp.

MIke
Here's a link to nathan plemons' site he gained 7 RWHP on his vette. I saw an F-body site once (may still be out there and I believe he had the number a 10 rwhp but I could be mistaken it was a long time ago)
