Best Distributor for LT1?

Best Distributor for LT1?

My couzins distributor died in his 95 Z yesterday. Should he just go buy another stock one, or is there a pretty good aftermarket one he should get instead?

The only distributor for a 93-97 LT1 Fbody is the optispark. There really isn't any different aftermarket setups.

Any diff between the Autozone Optispark and the GM dealer Optispark?

ya, The GM part costs lots more but it doesn't suck... For important parts like the optispark you should try to get GM parts, Try to reserve Autozone for parts that dont matter (Brake pads, rotors, etc...)

Brakes kinda matter to me.
