not going with the water pump to much risk and not enough out put
been reading the no2 sticky still not so sure about spraying
the tune ,rockers and stuff really woke this car up not sure with one did the most
guess the tune just brings it all together.

why is there no sticky for ( best LT1 bolt on's) with some people telling what
they have done and what horsepower they got from there mods ??? it would help out
the us new guys

 

Ran my car last night 1/8 mile best @ 83.2 funny i thought it was going to
be a lot faster like 85-87 so what do i need to do to get it to 88-90
i have been thinking of spraying it with a 100 shot but i don't know how
many times i can spray it before the engine blows up

 

Guys have put hundreds of bottles through their OEM stock blocks. Nitrous doesn't kill the engine - the lack of common sense and safety devices does.

You list MPH but no ETs...

A 90mph ET in the 1/8th is somewhat equivalent to a mid-high 11-second pass, something you're probably not going to see with your mods. You're looking at a hotter cam + ported heads. That or nitrous.

 

You should be well into the 12's. What did the rest of the slip say ?

 

I always thought that no2 was bad on the engine thanks! something else that i didn't
know. looked at some of N2O sticky's it seems to be safe as long as you have the full
system but i haven't seen nothing about how much to use i assume a 100 is about
right for my set up . what do you guys think

i live in a small country town the only drag strip around is only a 1/8 mile

 

I ran a 125-shot on my Formula for 4 years. When we pulled the engine with about 70K miles on it to build the stroker, the engine was still in perfect condition. A 125-shot should easily net you a 1-second/ 10 MPH gain.

Nitrous oxide is N2O.

 

Whats the temperature and altitude of your track that night? If its hot out its not gonna run. You'll see 2-4 mph more in the cooler fall or winter months.

My 99 goes 87-88 on a good day in the 1/8 with a 7.7 ET and low 12.1's in 1/4. In warm air it slows down a good bit. 85mph traps, 8.0's ET or so

 

who makes a reliable 125 N2O setup. I'm not familiar with the name brands so
the only thigh i can do is look at the price cause i believe you get what you pay for
i also like to see the made in U.S.A. tag that's hard to find in this day and time
i don't mind spending the extra $ for the good stuff !!! any ideas ????

it was hot and slick the night I was there had trouble taken off something
i got to work on. the car has enough power to smoke the tires at a roll maybe
around 12 mph never looked i love it. going back next week for test and tune
for some more practice. one of the guys that i raced mighty mouse ran like 131 mph
the track didn't seem like it was slick to him but he was on a race car. and been doing
it for years

Why don't you answer some of the questions some people have posted above?

 

I've run HSW stuff with good success. Believe I bought the kit off the classifieds here or was it some other forum? I cant recall but the kit was low price and worked well.

 

in my 93' ran 12's all day with stock ported heads and a hot cam, yes bigger t/b, headers, electric water pump, 1.6 rr untouched trans, did have 456 gears with a spool thou, did run hot with the mezier on it would have been alot faster with a stall i know i'm talking about my car but it's just an exapmle of what the same parts did on my car
