Question best cam

Custom or off the shelf cam for a stock 95 z28 with a 2500 stall and 3.42's in the rear.
This will be a cam only street machine with mac headers.

Re: best cam

There is no best cam.
For a mild gear/stall combo like that though something like the Crane 210/224 would be great.

Do a search. You'll find about every choice you have.

take your pic. depends on what future mods you have in mind, how much power you want and how much you have to spend. I think you should do a lot more bolt ons before considering a cam, but that may just be me.

I agree with that. The Comp 501 would be a good choice too.

Re: best cam

For a streeter, lite to lite lt1 an RV cam which maintains the low-end tq of an LT1 is probably your best choice. The 210/224 fits the bill nicely. Something between 210-216 int and 224/229 exh with 1.6 RRs and dual springs tunes nicely and behaves stock until you punch it. JMHO
