Best 58mm TB??
Re: Best 58mm TB??
The article actually involved an AS&M throttle body. Why would they build it and charge a whole lot for it, if it wasn't designed for the ltx engines? Seems like a lot of work to go thru just to build a piece that isn't for our cars.

Re: Best 58mm TB??
Hey Arnie, I wasn't trying to be a dick. I checked AS&M web site and they don't even offer a TB for the L-98 engine. It does say direct for the LT1 and blah blah. I have seen(BBK) offer a TB for the tpi engines and one different for lt1. Even 93 was different. I never got into my Iroc much, or at least had the TB off the car. What is the diff. between the TB. I know the tps sensor was adjustable on the tps and not so on the lt1 . Are the IA circuits different or is it judt the throttle linkage that is different. Seems to me both intakes are somewhat similiar as to how the TB mounts and its function on the intake. I know there is an extreme difference between the tpi 17" runner length as opposed to the lt1 3" runner length. I mean similarities as to how the TB functions on theintake.
Re: Best 58mm TB??
Specifically, I am referring to the IAC circuit, though I am not familiar with the idle circuit on an L-98, so that engine may not present an issue. The AS&M TB is not compatible with the LTx engine that uses the IAC circuit, unless the 'fix' is incorporated. Contact with AS&M has made me aware, AS&M has no intention to redesign their TB, to incorporate the 'fix', and make their product compatible, to the degree the OEM TB is, in regards to the IAC circuit, and thus allow the circuit to function as oem had designed/intended.
