bent intake elbow

since i put on the SLP CAI the intake is rubbing against the radiator, which is keeping it moved slightly, but mainly the intake elbow is being pushed back to the point where the intake is most likely being restricted because of the intake being pushed from the radiator.

does anyone else have this problem with the slp intake and does anyone know of a way to solve this...

thanks.

just so you know what im taking about heres a pic

Re: bent intake elbow

When I added a nitrous plate to my car, I had the same problem I think you're having. The TB was pushed forward though, wihch pushed the elbow against the radiator. I resolved this by slicing off about an inch of the elbow, at the end that connects with the TB, then the elbow could just fit further back.

Hope that helps...

Re: bent intake elbow

well that would most likely fix the problem but would that be the only way i could fix it.

The elbow on it now is cracked around the throttle body, and i cant afford trial and error.

what part of it would i be able to take off, the part that is flexible...

when i can i will grab a better picture but the part that is getting messed up is the flexible part of the elbow coming off of the MAF.

what you described would fix it but would there be a way such as bending the mounting brackets for the raidiator to go upwards a little more or something such as that?

thanks
