beehive valve springs

beehive valve springs

Hey guys,
Going to be installing so comp beehive valve srings, couple of question. Im running a cc305 with 1.6 roller rockers and was wounder what would be better as far as springs, the 26915-16 or the 26918-16? And what is the differents between the two?I noticsed that comp say to use to different retainers too, with 915 you use the 787-16 and with the 918 you use the 774-16 what is the differents between the ?

I think comp may have changed some of their beehive spring part numbers.

Get the 918's with 10 degree +.050" locks and retainers and the comp locators as well.

Can't remember the exact differences, but I think the 918's have higher spring rates.

Hey,

What is meant when the a +.50 valve lock ?

+.050" lock

It raises the installed height by .05".

On stock valves you almost have to run the +.050" locks.
