BBK 58mm TB and IAC problems?

Has anyone had any trouble setting their IAC with a BBK 58mm TB?

I've heard of people drilling a hole in the BBKs to make the IAC respond better. There's a website that describes it, but I can't find a link at the moment.

there is also an alternative to drilling the TB, but i cant find the link at the moment either....
something to this effect: place a peice of tubing in the PCV port on the front on the intake (which is the same passage as the IAC port) and connect it the the intake elbow using a 1/4 barb.

i moved the PCV tube (vaccuum side) to the old EGR vaccum port, using the original PCV barb not the 1/8 EGR barb.

but in order to do this you must remove the EGR system.
on my 96 model anyway.

maybe somebody knows the thread im talking about.

sure beats drilling your $300 TB

Try this link. I just did it, and I was able to set my IAC. But I believe I have a "hard to find" vacuum leak because as the car warmed up, the IAC would just drive shut to try to maintain the idle.

It was very easy to do, and worked like a charm for me.
