another header question

just wanted some opions on the pros and cons of shortie, long tubes and the mid length headers. there are no emisson laws in my area so that is not a problem. that will be my first choice as a major bolt on and don't want to get something and wish i had went another way.

Go with longtubes if you don't have emissions. I don't have emissions either, and I probably should have just saved up for LT's. I found a GREAT deal on some Jet-Hot coated SLP shorties though and I couldn't pass them up. Don't get me wrong, shorties are great, and I noticed a SOTP difference, but if you can get the LT's, then go for it. Look into Jet-Hot or Hooker as your first choice.

LT's all the way. If you're on a budget, the Jet Hot's come coated for less than 550. But you need to add in other things like y pipe and stuff (hooker from jet hot and coated, for 250 shipped)

Jet Hots all the way. Major power difference. Mine were 525.00 shipped from jet hot.

What about a y-pipe though? Does anyone sell a y-pipe for longtubes that actually FITS and lines up with the catalytic converter?
